The Bank of Italy suspended all bank card payments on Vatican territory from the start of the year and ordered Deutsche Bank Italia, which manages electronic payments for the world’s smallest country, to turn off its systems.

Italian newspapers reported that the action was taken after officials at the Italian central bank became worried that the Vatican was not prepared to implement new anti-money laundering rules.

The suspension of card services means that the Vatican museum, along with the territory’s pharmacy and post office, have all been unable to transfer money and accept payments.

A spokesman for the Vatican told the Italian press the state hoped to find a non-Italian bank to provide it with access to payment services “quite soon” and that the problem would be “short-lived”. The Vatican has not commented directly on the Bank of Italy’s concerns.

Five million tourists visited the Vatican last tyear and spent €91.3m (£74m). However, until its payment systems are restored the Vatican said that all transactions, including buying tickets for its world famous museum, would have to be done in cash.

We know how they drag their feet instead of move into action when it comes to important concerns. Does this mean that tourist will have to beg for food on the street while fat clerics get fatter? There is only so much room in Rome for hoarding. On second thought…I’m very good at washing everything…and I mean everything!!!!! Send me the money!

  2. Deanna Leonti Says:

Well if the pope wasnt looked upon as Jesus Christ/fully human & fully divine & the clerics weren’t referred to as Shepherds aka human
and the congregation/people werent referred to as sheep aka animals maybe they wouldn’t be treating the people like they were beneath them to do anything with out dragging their fat knuckles!

It’s the God food chain with the Pope on top..
Their god raised man higher than the animal kingdom, and raised the clerics higher than angels, but the sheep aren’t raised any higher than sheep!..as are treated dumb as sheep!

  3. Thomas Says:

The pope isn’t Jesus Christ nor is he a clone of the divine. He is just like the rest of us poor saps whether he wants to admit it or not. To be a cleric, one has to be a servant…the people of God are those who ought to come first—the servants of this sort always come last. There is something about an angel…whereas no one will ever be higher than even the smallest one. And, no man will ever be older than the youngest one….not even a saint.

What farm are you from? The sheep are nolonger dumb, blind, or deaf!!!!! Trust me….. :-)

  4. Frank Lostaunau Says:

The shIt may no longer be dumb but they are sure a bunch of cowards.

How anybody can possibly tolerate the pathology of child sex abuse by priests and nuns is insane.

May at least 500,000 catholic clergy loose their lives in 2013…LORD HEAR MY PRAYER.

  5. Thomas Says:

The sheep never had any control over Church politics and decision making. That’s the problem—the sheep are the Church and they want voting rights to be able to make joint decisions that impact the universal Church. The children belong to the sheep and not the clerics—they would never knowingly allow harm to their children. Likewise, all nuns and clerics do not harm kids—only the dysfunctional ones and I actually don’t know why someone would ever hurt a child. But one thing I do know, is that if an innocent cleric or nun had a choice…they would choose Chuckie Cheese instead of a flame-thrower. :-)

  6. Thomas Says:

If the Hierarchy would worry about saving souls instead of handling green backs and be responsible agents of financial management…waste and crime just might leave the Church once and for all.

  7. Deanna Leonti Says:

The problem is the sheep aren’t accepting the will of their god, inwhich the clerics are suppose to receive divine inspiration in leading…whether they are good or bad leaders that’s the will of their god…& infallibility is the trump card!….that’s what they teach Thomas…

  8. Thomas Says:

One can live in barrenest of deserts without any cleric and still know what God wants of them. One must be free of it all to hear the voice of God.

  9. Deanna Leonti Says:

To hear the Voice of your god, is called Schizophrenia..

  10. Thomas Says:

That’s not the way He communicates.

  11. Deanna Leonti Says:

Well Thomas can you explain the way that your god does communicates?..
Pope encouraged the young to listen to that voice with in said its the Holy Spirit, than with Saints…they literally heard voices thinking it was the voice of their god?

  12. Deanna Leonti Says:

Or is it getting a whiff of th smell of roses…with out a rose in sight?..

  13. Deanna Leonti Says:

Or mumble some prayers…and if you get the same answer 3x means that’s where or what your god wants for you?…

  14. Thomas Says:

The voice of God is not audible with the ears…one would never even know that it is a voice at all. The inner voice can be your own conscience telling you what to do. The voice of God is more telepathetic and coaxing. Either voice that you choose to hear, is good and positive when one does no harm. I am not sure about the saints…they are in a class all to themselves…their interior lifes were private but manefested exteriorly in the good that they did for God. How one does good for God is another discussion and this blogg is not religion 101, psychoanalysis 101, or destroying the religion that one has issues with. Why not ask God if He has an issues dept…we could all benefit from that place since most of the issues in life are not our own.

We have the United Church of Christ, we have the United Methodist Church, as well as other united Christian entities…do you really think that we will ever have a United Roman Catholic Church? Of Course not, Roman Catholicism is diverse…but don’t ever say that to an ultraconservative orthodox hierarch. Now, I need to watch a movie!

  15. Deanna Leonti Says:

Are you serious?..telepathetic and coaxing?…what?..that goes against their CAtechism about Superstitions…

  16. Thomas Says:

None are all knowing…neither are any righteous—and what binding rule does that break? The catechism won’t be the last book out of Baltimore that was ever flawed.

  17. ERW Says:

The Catexhism originated in Europe, by Peter Canisius, remember? I try to find a link to its origin.

  18. ERW Says:

    Go to Wickepedia: Peter Canisius.

From his last name come catechism, catechete…….

  19. Deanna Leonti Says:

That’s superstition & divination inwhich is against the church’s teachings…but it’s ok if it’s done based upon the Xtian god…anywhere else that would be considered ESP or mental health issues..

  20. Thomas Says:

So are you saying that praying is against the law?

  21. Deanna Leonti Says:

No I am not saying that…but telepathy is against RCC teachings…the way you say the Xtian god communicates…

  22. Thomas Says:

The Church has nothing to do with how God chooses to communicate with anyone of us. People can’t control God—His mysteries are beyond our expression and understanding.

  23. Deanna Leonti Says:

Well that’s if you believe in a higher being & the way that you think he/she communicates to you…I guess..

Ask the investigative reporters…the Apostles did not live and die for a fairy tale.

  28. Deanna Leonti Says:

@ Frank LOL @ Thomas Oh yes, they did!..built a religion on philosophy & fairy tales…& RCC is still run based upon a belief with out proof!.

  29. Frank Lostaunau Says:

I’ve always believed that Jrdud had male/female organs and enjoyed the sexual company of wimins and mins. In my personal opinion, millions of mins & wimmins love fairy tail! Been had some myself.

I always believed that Jrdud was considerably more frisky than others are willing to consider! And, as for no sex ever with anybody, never happened. Jrdud spred his stuff aroun…been heard stories that I truly believe. Since nobody has PROOF ABOUT ANYTHING, I CAN MORE EASILY BELIEVE THAT THE STUFF GOT AROUN AND I MEAN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Jrdud got down quick ‘n dirty…all over the grass and plants,
and no time for mercy, forever in a hurry.

The other thing that nobody wants to bring up is that Jrdud was bald due to a condition! I’ve often wondered if his head got sunburned. Tell me, why doesn’t anybody ever talk about baldness? duh…

  30. Thomas Says:

It is because everyone is entitled to their own opinion even when it is not main stream. Faith does not demand proof….it has enough hope in fullfillment at a later date.

  31. Frank Lostaunau Says:

@ Thomas you are right “Faith” doesn’t need proof, but I as an Atheist do..

  36. Deanna Leonti Says:

    @ Frank, LOL! :)

  40. Deanna Leonti Says:

And Mary was born a Hermaphrodite, inwhich could explain the virgin birth lol

  41. Frank Lostaunau Says:

the way i heard it is that Jesus and Mary are one and the same…Mary Jesus is the one that gave birth…then she pretended that it was a virgin birth to avoid being called a loose thing

whether or not sister immaculata told we kids the truth remains a mystery

i think that she was asked to get lost because as she aged she was spotted workin a pharmacy

most everybody liked sister immaculata but the rumor is that she was accused of stealing money

  42. Deanna Leonti Says:

    Say wha???

  43. Deanna Leonti Says:

There is a term where a woman’s body can self impregnant it’s extremely rare but I can’t remember the word for it.

  44. Thomas Says:

There are a few choice words for a man and a woman who would profane both Jesus and His mother, but I believe that I once read of one which is so much more than the rest…BEHEADED.

  45. Frank Lostaunau Says:

lets keep this discussion civil…there will be no beheading today…now if somebody want to stick his /her head into a toilet bowl that’s quite another matter…beheading…NOT!
